Comets, It’s Time To Experience WOW!

Welcome back to campus, Comets!

On behalf of the Division of Student Affairs, we’re excited to present Weeks of Welcome 2025! WOW features two weeks of entertaining and enjoyable events, all planned for Aug. 23-Sept. 5.

Below is a glimpse at a few of the more than 40 scheduled activities. Be sure to check out the WOW website for the complete list.

Move-In Market, Saturday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Activity Center Auxiliary Gym. The Basic Needs Resource Center, in collaboration with UTD Alumni and other campus partners, is offering free dorm essentials, school supplies and other items to start your school year strong! For currently enrolled students, whether it’s your first semester or your last. See the Move-In Market Event details (docx) for more information.
Welcome Back Bash, Sunday, Aug. 24, 5-7 p.m., Engineering and Computer Science West Courtyard. Join us for music, free food, photos and much more!
Early Access: Esports Showcase & Free Play, Monday, Aug. 25, 3-6 p.m., Comets LANding and SU Green. Free play is available all day. Challenge a member of our varsity esports team, register for team tryouts and learn about gaming and esports, including clubs.
Cometville, Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1-3 p.m., SU Mall. Student Organization Center’s Cometville includes treats, games, music, giveaways and info about student organizations and UTD departments.
Experience Dallas, Friday, Aug. 29, 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Dallas Museum of Art. Students are invited to join Experience Dallas at the Dallas Museum of Art. Transportation will be provided, but free tickets are extremely limited. A registration link will be emailed to students on Monday, Aug. 25.
